Most if not
all the diving companies in the GOM pay 12hr each day 8 reg and 4 OT
(time 1/2). |
Divers must
supply their own diving equip.. (ex. dive hat, wetsuit, harness,
bailout, knifes, just about anything worn or carried on your personal
body)
Most if not all companies pay sups deepest dive depth each day. They
have health insurance programs, 401k and stock option plans. |

Lowest Depth pay in the Gulf
has been raised to $1.00 per ft / Not sure if Sup receive
retainers. I have been informed that Global has said they aim to
pay 10% lower than the other companies and make up the difference with benefits
like stock options etc..

West Africa rates for Global were 1st class diver was $211 a
day plus 25% of day rate bonus for job completion or 60 days,
whichever comes first. The rate worked out to what you would make in
a week of day rate, plus 25% bonus. Africa does not pay depth or
overtime, but they pay a bonus for gas and sat diving.

Torch pays most Superintendents and some Supervisors a yearly salary
$50.000 to $65.000 and a daily offshore bonus from $100.00 to $150.00.
They see no distinction between Sat, Gas, Air or Barge Superintendents
and don’t really understand why one position may be worth more than
another. By the way if you hire on with them get all details in writing,
as things that are promised seem never to materialize.
